I’ve wanted to play around with tilt-shift for awhile but not many of my pictures have been taken from an elevated perspective. Luckily yesterday I went to stalk people in Bluewater so I could get some. Actually my main motivation was doughnuts but picture taking was a close second.
It is far from perfect however I will be sure to bore the crap out of you guys in the coming months as I practice. Stalking people on the cliffs will be great for this in the summer. So long as I don’t encounter masturbating man again…

Seconded. Very seconded from within the deeply scarred, over-filled pit of shit I could do without being reminded of.
Nice pic =). What is tilt shift, and what has it done to the picture? Is it some kind of fancy crop?

Tilt shift (in this sense) is using PS to simulate a shallow depth of field, ideally the plan is to make the scene look like a miniture scene by altering the saturation and stuff as well (but mine doesn’t really come out like that).

Ahhh, right! I thought you’d been playing around with F-stops x). The effect looks great! I could use some reverse tilt-shift for my shots though – the 18-200mm lens on my camera does 3 pixel wide DoF at every chance it gets (ie, I have the skill levels for one of these: http://tiny.cc/vWahi ).
